Hudson Entertainment’s Director of Marketing John Lee spoke answered some questions in an interview recently about Bonk games and the Virtual Console service for Wii. He was asked whether or not we would see a new Bonk game and he had this to say:

“…the VC was specifically designed to bring back classic games, not to introduce new content. So to answer your question specifically: No. However, in the future, you should rephrase that question to: Are there any plans to launch original content on some downloadable service on the Wii, and you might get a different answer.”

So there won’t be any new content, but there is the possibility of “original content” in the future.
