This news has nothing to do with Nintendo, but it may affect Nintendo in the future. Back in August SEGA applied to trademark the word Dreamcast, which brings many to speculate that SEGA is pondering to reenter the console fight. The filing covers; home consoles, controllers, and “video game interactive controller, namely, hand held pads, and floor pads or mats; joysticks for video games; computer cursor control devices, namely, computer mouse; flash memory cards; video game software, computer game programs.” I thought the Dreamcast was a great system, but I will be shocked if this comes true.

After I feel there are enough signatures I will send this petition along to Sega of America, Sega of Japan, and other places on their website. I am also going to do some research and submit along with the petition ideas from the online community, internet links to websites that talk about their longing for a dreamcast 2, dreamcast 2 fan artwork, etc.
