  • C-Stick Smashes in Smash Bros.: ‘Cheap’ or Not?

    Posted March 15th by jahiggin

I do not know if I am slow or something, but I did not even notice the C-stick attack until the 3rd day of playing Brawl.   I was so mad that I had to go back and play every character again, to see what the C-stick actually did for each one. In my minimal knowledge of all things Brawl, I realized that some of the C-stick smashes are stronger then others. Some of them could actually make a difference, while others where just no practical to move your finger from the Aor B button to the C-stick. The guys over at Nintendoworldreport.com discuss, “is the C-stick attack cheap or not?”

well the c-stick is actually just a short cut of sorts. It’s the equivalent of “analog stick+A” The only reason that it is there is the timing is tricky to do it the normal way. I don’t think that it is cheating to do it occasionally, but when a player does nothing but C-Stick that is a cheap tactic. Personally I try to avoid using it, the only time that I will use it is when I am playing with Samus, and I only use down C.

Tip: hold “Z+C stick” to charge the attack
