We’ve heard about Elebits 2 for a long time now, and IGN has the first screens and details for the game.  The game’s full, official title is “Elebits: The Adventures of Kai & Zero”.  The game is a direct sequel to the Wii version and continues the electric antics on the DS.

In this adventure, players are sent off to track omega Elebits critters, critters who hold magic powers that’ll help you on your quest. You’ll have to solve puzzles to reveal hidden paths, freeze flowing water, and turn darkness into light by using the special abilities of each type of Elebits characters.

Though currently details on Elebits: The Adventures of Kai and Zero are a bit light right now, we do know that the Nintendo DS version will feature an additional multiplayer option. It will support the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service so that players can compete head-to-head over the internet. Locally, the game will feature four-player battles.

The game is scheduled for a Fall 2008 release.
