Today, Ubisoft announced a demo for Rayman Origins on Nintendo 3DS is now available to download in the Nintendo eShop. Play Rayman Origins and discover the magical universe and legendary gameplay that captured the hearts of millions of fans.
The newly released demo includes three unique fantasy levels including Swinging Caves, Playing in the Shade and Shooting Me Softly. Players can launch the demo with no time limits, challenging their previous score and time attack records by collecting more electoons and exploring new adventures each time around.
Rayman Origins is a platformer at its core, but includes elements of a variety of game genres. Play as one of the main characters, Rayman and Globox, and gain special abilities as they progress through the adventure, including swimming, diving and the useful ‘HairlyCopter.’ Players of the demo will have the opportunity to experience one of the additional game types such as action, adventure, shooter and beat-‘em up gameplay.
• StreetPass™ Functionality: Taking advantage of StreetPass, you can share your progression, number of collectibles, time played, unlocked achievements, and avatar with others.
• Epic Boss Fights: A giant pink monster with hundreds of eyes… A possessed, mountainous golem… An evil daisy-cum-carnivorous plant… Rayman Origins will put players to the test with these and many more challenging boss battles!

Rayman Origins Nintendo 3DS demo is available now for download via the Nintendo eShop. The full version of the game will be available at retailers and online on June 5, 2012.
That last line in their press release is very interesting. Looks like Rayman Origins 3DS could be one of the first full 3DS downloadable games.
