Rumor: Wii U update issues

The PN staff average time for the day one update was about 45 min. Which I will admit, was a little pain. According to claims some Wii U owners are reporting bricking after losing internet connection during the day one Wii U download? Has anyone else heard of anyone or had this issue for oneself?

I have yet to hear of this issue, mine took a while but did install the update successfully. My friend was the same as me too, successful.
