Capcom convinced that Resident Evil 5 can Work on Wii
“At Resident Evil 5’s launch, it was announced that a Wii version was not technically possible. But after some of the work that Cavia has done (with RE: Darkside Chronicles), the producers of Resident Evil 5 over in Japan now think it is possible. Some of the light effects in the South America stage are pretty incredible. Whether it is going to come, I don’t know the answer to that question. But, it has been said that now at least it is possible.” – Product manager Matt Dahlgren
Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles is looking pretty good, and that South American level looked very similar to Resident Evil 5. Would you guys be interested if RE5 came to Wii?

it’s a little high-tech for the Wii in my opinion but if they took out some textures and lighting effects i’m sure they could make it all work. RE4 Wii Edition was a success in my book so i have confidence that this will sell well if they ever decided to do it.
