Happy Weekend!

Posted by james On March 13, 2010

I love the Weekends, A time I can just sit back relax and play some games. I hope everyone out there is having a mighty fine weekend. For those on Spring Break, have a safe and wonderful spring break.

I now I say this a lot, but I am super excited for what we have coming down the way for purenintendo. I am sure you will enjoy what it is also. Our goal is to have it completed by the end of this month or early april, crossing our fingers. Just a heads up, we will actually be choosing a few of you to help out with what we have planned. What does that mean? Well you will have to wait and see.

GDC was not as big as it has been in the past, for Nintendo fans, but still very good. GDC 2010 ends today, but I am not expecting to much to come out of it. I have contacted High Voltage inquiring if the Wii version of The Grinder will be switching from FPS view to a top down view like the 360. Still no response from them, but I will keep bugging them for an answer. Trust me I have everyones email address in that company, I will get an answer.

Makes sure you check out the Gametrailers Nintendo episode below. It is packed full of Nintendo, with an interview with Reggie, and info of Galaxy 2 and Metriod Prim Other M.

Mega Man fan-film debuting on ScrewAttack in May

Posted by james On February 28, 2010

Now as cool as the ScrewAttack Throwdown is, there is one last thing that I’m extremely excited to announce… you’ve heard us talk about… you’ve seen trailers for it… and soon you’ll finally be able to experience it for yourself. Coming in May, you will be able to find Eddie Lebron’s master piece of a fan film – Mega Man – exclusively on ScrewAttack. The Blue Bomber is going to blow you away. See the trailer here (http://screwattack.com/videos/Mega-Man-Movie-Trailer-1) Speaking as someone who has seen it, Mega Man is the way a video game film should be made.

And thus:

World Premiere Screening: May 1st. 2010

Online Release: May 7th, 2010.

A new trailer is to follow within the next 4 weeks. Information regarding the Manhattan world premiere screening will be available once a theater is chosen this month. After all cast, crew, family, and friends are accounted for; approximately 100 extra seats will most likely be available to fans and press but that’s not an official statement. I can’t wait to finally show the film! Once again, I thank everyone for their support and patience. It shall be worth it!

Happy Weekend

Posted by james On February 27, 2010

It has been a busy, but amazing week. Pure Nintendo had our biggest and 3rd biggest days this week. It really got Justin and I very excited for things to come for Pure Nintendo. We spent some time talking about the plans we have coming for the site, we started asking like some giddy school girls talking about the prom and the hot dates we had. I know a little weird, it’s the best way I could describe it. I know I am excited for what’s to come, I hope you are too.

Also, the intro video for Metriod Other M has been leaked. Out of respect for Nintendo, I do not think I am going to post it. You guys are smart, I’m sure you can find it. “cough”neogaf cough”.

Also do not forget the awesome t-shirt contest we have going on. Check it HERE

Just a quick Nintendo Media Summit note. Many of you may be asking the same question I am. Where in the world are the Metroid: Other M Videos? Don’t worry, I’m sure it’s still on its way. All hands on impressions have been embargoed until 9 pm PST (Midnight EST). I am assuming, at this time, the floodgates will be opened and Nintendo will release all the goodies (i.e. assets) to the public. Stay with us here at purenintendo.com as the night goes on for more coverage.

Also, the European Media Summit is scheduled to start at 5:30am EST. We are going to try our best to cover this as well as we can.

We already know that Nintendo of Australia mentioned Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid: Other M, but apparently they were limited in what they could say about the titles since the US event is scheduled for tomorrow.  Here’s what Mark Serrels had to say (ONM Australia editor):

Apparently nintendo hands were tied with the nintendo summit. They couldn’t show anything before the US. It’s a shame.

While it is a shame that Nintendo of Australia couldn’t show anything for these games, it’s nice to know that we only have to wait until tomorrow to hear more.  Stay tuned!
