E3 is just around the corner, and we’re already experiencing a drought so to speak of video game news. Sure there’s always news, but it’s been awhile since we’ve heard any big announcements. So the question is: what can we expect from Nintendo at this year’s E3?

Already a number of you believe we’ll hear or see a glimpse of a new Zelda game for the Wii. I certainly hope so! It would make sense because the Twilight Princess was shown off over two years before it released.

Here are my expectations from Nintendo at E3:

1. Focus on 3rd-party games (The Conduit, Mad World, Force Unleashed, etc.)
2. Announcement of fixing storage issues (this probably won’t be a hard drive attachment, but will be an update to support external hard drives)
3. Announcement of new 1st-party games for later this year (Pikmin 3, Kid Icarus (maybe), 1080 Wiiboarding )
4. Teaser trailer for new Zelda at end of presentation

Maybe not as likely:

• Announcement of new DS–this seems to make sense though, especially since the PSP has been coming back in Japan by outselling the DS and Wii almost every week. I could definitely see them announcing a new DS for next year.

OH…and almost forgot….REGGIE IS GONNA KICK SOME ASS :))!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, time for a new poll : )  E3 is now less than a month away and the rumor mill has been fairly quiet about Nintendo’s showing at this year’s E3.  I have high hopes from Nintendo’s press conference this year especially in the area of games for us ‘core gamers’.  Last year’s E3 focused a lot on casual gaming with the announcement of Wii Fit.  Now I think it’s time for Nintendo to answer with some offerings for the hardcore fanbase.

Nintendo said that they will be announcing new games at E3 that ‘core gamers will be interested in’.  Let’s hope that holds true!

Last night James and I went out and picked up a copy of Boom Blox. We played about half of the co-op and then I created this level in honor of pure nintendo. After it was all said and done we were surprised to see that we spent about two and a half hours playing. Good times! (Sorry for sounding like a chronic smoker in the video, I have a cold right now on top of my regularly scheduled allergies.)

For those of you who celebrate Memorial Day, I hope you are having a good one. Memorial Day is a good time to get the family together for a cook-out or a big meal. After that meal, is a good time to gather the Family around for some Wii Fit. What ever you do for this holiday, I hope it is safe and fun.

Man, I am so glad its the Wiikend. With such a busy schedule during the Wiik, I have not had that much time to play games. My whole day today is dedicated to playing games, especially some Mario Kart with you guys tonight. Add your friend codes to the forums and I will see ya tonight. I would also like to congratulate those who are going through graduation ceremonies this weekend. I know some high schools are.
