Capcom’s Monster Hunter 3 (Tri) was heavily featured in Nintendo’s Media Summit this morning where they made several announcements for the game.  The game will ship on April 20, and will feature free online play, and Wii Speak compatibility.  Players will also be able to get a playable demo on March 8th from Gamestop.

The Indie Superhit Drops With Exclusive Content On Wii

February 24, 2010 – Nicalis, Inc. is excited to announce the upcoming release of the indie superhit, Cave Story for WiiWare. Rated E10+, Cave Story will be available exclusively for the WiiWare service on Monday, March 22nd in North America. Nintendo announced this morning that Sin & Punishment 2: Star Successor will be flying onto store shelves June 7 in North America!  Stay tuned for more video/screens from the Summit later this evening!

Nintendo announced this morning at their Media Summit that Super Mario Galaxy 2 will be flying onto store shelves May 23 in North America!  This is earlier than previously rumored which is a welcome surprise!  Stay tuned for more media from the Summit later this evening!

At Nintendo’s Media Summit this morning, Nintendo announced the Nintendo DSi XL will go on sale March 28th in North America for an MSRP of $189.99 ($20 more than the current DSi).  The system will come in Wine Red and Dark Brown.

At Nintendo’s Australian Media Summit, it was confirmed that both Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid: Other M are going to release between June and August of this year.  This leaves plenty of room for a potential Holiday 2010 release for Zelda Wii.  Let’s hope it works out that way!

Along with Nintendo’s Financial report, a release schedule of 1st-party games for 2010 was announced today!  The report shows that Metroid: Other M is scheduled for Summer 2010 in Japan, while it’s currently listed as ‘2010′ for North America and Europe.  Also worth noting is the addition of a few unannounced games such as XENOBLADE, Kensakusu, and ‘The Last Story.’  Legend of Zelda Wii is mentioned as ‘TBA’ for Japan, but isn’t on the list for both NA and Europe.  On the plus side, Sin & Punishment 2 is scheduled for Q1 of this year which would be somewhere between April and the end of June (since Nintendo’s fiscal year ends March 31st).

Looks like 2010 is shaping up to be an incredible year for the Wii!
