Indie developer Lost Decade Games added a stretch goal for a Wii U release over at Kickstarter for their new game, Crypt Run.  The game features random dungeons and a unique take death mechanic.

Crypt Run is an arcade-style medieval fantasy hack ‘n slash for Windows, Mac, and Linux (and if the stretch goal is met, Wii U). The dungeons change each playthrough and always offer new situations to handle. Crypt Run presents combat, exploration, and collection in a playful medieval fantasy world. What makes Crypt Run special is its unique death mechanic — the game isn’t over when you die in Crypt Run!

Crypt Run

When players die in Crypt Run, they find themselves transported to the Realm of the Dead. This new realm has an otherworldly appearance and is inhabited by evil dead creatures (some of which you yourself put there!). In this way, dying begins an adventure in a new realm. (This unique death mechanic will allow for extremely deep gameplay, including challenges that require transporting between realms to complete!)

There is not much time left for the indie game on Kickstarter with only 3 days left until the funding campaign concludes.  Fortunately, the game has reached the $5,000 funding goal on Kickstarter but with the Wii U stretch goal set at $20K, Crypt Run will need many more backers to make a Wii U release possible.  As of this writing Crypt Run has raised a total $6,945 and needs $13,055 to reach the Wii U stretch goal.  Check out the Kickstarter video below and play an early demo of the PC version here.
