Dragon Fantasy: The Black Tome of Ice is finally making its way to 3DS and Wii U next week.

The classically-inspired RPG is the second entry in the series, following Dragon Fantasy: The Volumes of Westeria, and features graphics in line with those retro 16-bit RPGs we all know and love.

In the sequel, you’ll join Ogden and the heroes of Westeria as they travel through the frozen wastelands of Tundaria. Action-packed battles occur without random encounters, with spatially aware Area-of-Effect attacks and power moves. You’ll have hordes of demons and huge enemies to defeat, all set in a 16-bit world.

Dragon Fantasy: The Black Tome of Ice will launch on May 26 on both Wii U and 3DS for $9.99 in the US. Unlike the original, which was released last Summer, Black Tome of Ice will not be a crossbuy title.

Check out the trailer above and let us know if you’ll be downloading this indie RPG next week. Will you be getting the 3DS or Wii U version?
