The system surpassed its own record to claim the achievement. And GFK-ChartTrack has predicted that the console could even break the milestone again before Christmas.

Around this time last year the DS Lite broke the record for the biggest system sales in one week. Which was previously held by the PSP, during its launch week. Almost one year later the DS has done it again and is poised to do it some more.
