I played the 360 version and it was.... ok to say the least. Not great, but okay. But if it has the same controls as RE4 then I might pick it up.

Introduction:
This game is a one-player point-and-click murder mystery based on the Agatha Christie’s novel by the same name. If you’re a fan of Agatha’s storytelling and have read the novel first published back in 1939, you might be asking yourself why you would want to play this game when you already know the ending. Well good news, the ending for this game is different than the book. For all of us that have not read the book (myself included), what is the point of changing the ending? To me, this seems disrespectful to Agatha’s work. However, if you finish the game, a surprise awaits for those that don’t know the original story.

Graphics:
The graphics of this game are something that we all have seen before, about ten years ago. The character models are blocky and pixilated and the animation of their movement looks stiff and awkward. Cut scenes are even worst with little detail on the characters and reminded me of those old Japanese kung fu movies where the English dialog was dubbed over and you see the characters mouths move but not to what was being said. The in-game text is small and hard to read if you aren’t sitting close enough to your TV. One good element of the graphics is the environment. A lot of detail was put into making the objects and landscape of the game look authentic and realistic to the times.

Sound:
The music is well done with a score that both gave a mysterious tone to the game as well as provided a subtle background ambiance, but it did get repetitive. On par with the music is the great voice acting. All of the voices are original for each character and really brought the feel of old British atmosphere back to life. Almost everything is voice acted, except for various manuscripts that get scribed into your journal, which is rare to hear these days in games. Sound effects consisting of everything from footsteps, to rain, to opening desk drawers are all done very well.

Controls:
Being a PC port, the point-and-click interface works really well on the Wii. Pointing at the screen with the wiimote gives you a cursor arrow that allows you to move your protagonist around by click on the static background or clicking on items to have them automatically put into your inventory. Some motion controls were added like moving the wiimote up and down to control a shake mixer or using movement to make a scoop work. The most annoying of the controls is the twisting of the controller to open doors (and there are a lot of them). Sometimes it worked, other times you will have to repeat the motion two or three more time for it to actually recognized that you want to open the door. Through my experience, it works best if you make a slow twisting motion rather than a fast one.

Gameplay:
You and ten other guests are brought to a secluded island in which a recorded message reveals that you all share a similar secret. The mysterious host begins to systematically dispose of each cast member one-by-one using a nursery rhyme to build tension in the air as to who will be the next victim. Your mission is to search out clues by talking with other guests, finding items in and around the mansion, and solving puzzles to help you uncover the killer. Doing so can be a tough task throughout portions of the game due to illogical placement and combination of items. The lack of detailed map of the rooms in the mansion makes fetch quests difficult because you don’t know which rooms are being occupied by which guests. The story does keep you engaged throughout the game as you try to pick up any clues from the dialog and various documents you will find. You can save your progress at anytime during your adventure however an overwrite feature was not included making the player use another save slot, or delete your previously saved game in order to save the current game.

Replayability:
The game will take anywhere from 10 to 20 hours to complete and even shorter if you use online walkthroughs to help locate those hard-to-find items. One of the most disappointing aspects of the game is that there is little to no replay after you have finished the game. The game will not progress unless you have the right items needed to get to the next Chapter so there will be no need to go back through to search for anything else once you have reached the end of the story. There are a few alternate endings to the game however these can be completed fairly easily if you have a saved game before the final sequences of Chapter 10.

Conclusion:
Being one of the first point-and-click mystery games to arrive on the Wii it does a valiant effort to entice the player to become involved in solving the murders. That effort does fall short in terms of dated graphics, lack of great gameplay, and virtually no replayability. The game does have outstanding voice acting and storytelling appeal combined with a slow-paced adventure with simple controls. Overall the game is fairly disappointing as it could have been a lot better. I recommend passing on this title if you are not into story driven sleuthing adventures, but if you are then this game is only worth a rent.

Remember that 360 game? REMEMBER! Hamburgers? Zombies? One guy? One mall? Some...few hot chicks? Zombies? Thats right, the games coming out for the Wii, I'm so getting it. Does it not look appealing? Even a little? Come on, how often do you get a game where the story is that your purposely thrown into a zombie filled mall, trapped for exactly three days, all the while trying to survive and take pictures of zombies? I think I'm gonna enjoy this game.

Ok. I'll throw my two cents in :) Sonic and the Black Knight looks like it could be worse than Sonic and the Secret Rings. I enjoyed Secret Rings at least most of the time. The storybook, I agree was really slow and unnecessary. Not to mention the voice acting was downright awful! But now with the Black Knight, they're going to do the storybook and have a weapon to carry around??? Has Sega learned nothing from any of their past Sonic games?!

Sonic and the Secret Rings: 1.67 Million sold
Sonic Next Gen for PS3 : 480,000 sold
Sonic Next Gen for 360: 740,000 sold
Sonic Riders: 460,000 sold
Shadow the Hedgehog : 1.1 Million sold

* Stats from vgchartz.com so they may be a little off

Well, the numbers don't look too bad, but still, Sega needs to focus more on the quality of their Sonic games, rather than trying to release it on as many platforms with as many titles.

I'll wait till I get to play SBK, but I'm not overly excited.

I wanted to post this in the comment section of the site, but I ran out of space :( So I'm posting in here...cause thats what Forums are for.

Well, heres my opinion. Last time Sega decided to put something in a Hedgehogs hand, we got a game called Shadow the Hedgehog. Secret Rings, I enjoyed, but I think there just trying to create the exact same game only with a different skin. They keep saying in the post that its "Just like the Secret Rings were adding a character like the genie, (etc)", not an exact quote but I think you get my meaning. Also, they mentioned that the story line will be played the same way as Secret Rings, I completely hated the storybook telling, it was a big mistake and heres why. Were on the next generation of gaming counsels, your telling me that if their gonna give us cutscenes they can't do it in the super fast, speedy, hurry, action that we have come to expect from Sonic? When we see Sonic, we think speed, that storybook telling method did not remind me of speed, it reminded me of turning pages..... I'm no video game developer, but mentioning that you realize the mistakes of the past Sonic games, while developing a Sonic game, aren't you basically saying your team acknowledes that the past few Sonic games have sucked..which is bad for you! My final note, Segas working on two Sonic games at the same time? Cause SBK is official, but so is Unleased. Developing two different games, with the same character, at the same time?

I really want to see a new PilotWings game. That game was like a vacation from the world. I hope there is a new Monster Hunter 3 trailer. I hope but don't think it will happen is a new Donkey Kong game for the Wii, a full 3d adventure would be just what the Wii needs. Donkey Kong 64 was awesome, where is my Wii DK. Ofcourse a new Zelda trailer would blow everything out of the water.

Alright everyone, I'm sure you've heard by now about the Chrono Trigger DS rumor. There is supposed to be some Famitsu news coming out late tonight, so we'll keep you posted! I'm hoping it's not just a simple port, because they could just release it on the Virtual Console, but it would be nice to have a portable version to take around.

I would love this!! Anyone else want to revisit Chrono Trigger, even if it's a port?

NBA Jam would be pretty sweet, although I probably played more Bulls vs. Blazers back in the day :) 1080 is bound to happen at some point because we know almost nothing of what Nintendo themselves plan for 1st party balance board games.

And a new DS or all new handheld seems like a no-brainer. I'll let you know from the show Eli!

I want something, anything, either from David Hayter (Voice of Solid Snake, Metal Gear Solid Series) or Hideo Kojima (Director and God of Metal Gear Solid Series) I don't want Metal Gear (It wouldn't happen in 10 billion year :() I just want something from one of these two on the Wii!

Yeah, I'm hoping for a few surprise game announcements too. RE5 would be nice :) or even a Street Fighter IV for Wii announcement would be awesome!

I'm really hoping for a new handheld though! It needs to happen

E3 is just around the corner, and we're already experiencing a drought so to speak of video game news. Sure there's always news, but it's been awhile since we've heard any big announcements.

So the question is: what can we expect from Nintendo at this year's E3?

Already a number of you believe we'll hear or see a glimpse of a new Zelda game for the Wii. I certainly hope so! It would make sense because the Twilight Princess was shown off over two years before it released.

Here are my expectations from Nintendo at E3:

1) Focus on 3rd-party games (The Conduit, Mad World, Force Unleashed, etc.)
2) Announcement of fixing storage issues (this probably won't be a hard drive attachment, but will be an update to support external hard drives)
3) Announcement of new 1st-party games for later this year (Pikmin 3, Kid Icarus (maybe), 1080 Wiiboarding ;) )
4) Teaser trailer for new Zelda at end of presentation

Maybe not as likely:

1) Announcement of new DS--this seems to make sense though, especially since the PSP has been coming back in Japan by outselling the DS and Wii almost every week. I could definitely see them announcing a new DS for next year.

OH...and almost forgot....REGGIE IS GONNA KICK SOME ASS :))!!!!!!!!!!!

What expectations do you guys have for E3???
