Activision confirmed recently in a conference call with industry analysts that they will ‘aggressively target the Nintendo platforms’ with their key franchises like Guitar Hero, Spiderman, Tony Hawk, and Call of Duty. This is in response to the great reception the Wii and DS had over the holiday season, and continued growth in the market. Here’s the quote from them:

The key difference in our strategy versus the prior cycle, is that in addition to full support on Sony and Microsoft platforms, we will aggressively target the Nintendo platforms consistent with our multi-platform strategy and Nintendo’s expected growth. In fiscal 2008, we will double our offerings on the DS and the Wii, including Spider-Man, Shrek, Transformers, and Guitar Hero.

Sounds good to me! There is even a Transformers game in the works as well. Can’t wait to see these games later this year and the beginning of 2008.
