There’s little surprise which game topped the software sales charts this week in Japan, with Mario Kart 8 taking the lead by opening up at 326,000 sales.

This had the desired affect of boosting Wii U hardware sales, with the system topping that chart too with 19,000 sales, 10,000 more than last week.

Yokai Watch, which has been sticking to the top five of the Media Create for quite a bit now, finally surpassed one million retail sales.
