Nintendo had a very successful week in Japan last week, with eight of the top ten titles being for Nintendo consoles. Splatoon 2 lead the pack with an impressive 648,085 sales, instantly becoming the best-selling Switch title in the region to date.

Other new games included Layton’s Mystery Journey and Hey! Pikmin for the 3DS, which sat comfortably in second and third place respectively.

Unsurprisingly, the hardware charts reflected the Splatoon 2 success, with just shy of 100,000 Switch units selling during the week.
