Fans of both Professor Layton and Phoenix Wright can rejoice after today’s Nintendo Direct announcements!  Professor Layton will be appearing in two new games in 2014 and Phoenix Wright will appear alongside Professor Layton in one of the two games.  Professor Layton’s newest adventure, Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy, will release on the 3DS in 2014 as well as the Phoenix Wright vs. Professor Layton crossover game.  Many Nintendo fans have been hoping that the Professor Layton and Phoenix Wright crossover would eventually be localized and today fans of the two game series got the news they were waiting for!

The third game in the latest Professor Layton series will launch in 2014, as will a new crossover adventure co-starring Capcom’s Phoenix Wright in Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.
