Today during Nintendo’s E3 Digital Event, The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes was announced for a Fall 2015 release on the Nintendo 3DS family of systems.
Similar in style to A Link Between Worlds, this top down view Zelda allows up to 3 players, each controlling their own Link, to explore and solve puzzles within various dungeons. All players share the same hearts, so teamwork is essential.
Up to three Links can be stacked in a new “totem” game mechanic, and this allows players to reach new locations and switches in higher up places.
Players can collect items to be used for creating new outfits for Link to wear, and each outfit offers a different stat boost or ability to use within the dungeons.
Single player mode lets you rent paper dolls to take along in lieu of other players.
Multiplayer is available via a local wireless connection, online, and download and play.
Are you happy to see another co-op Zelda title similar to four swords? Will you be picking this one up? Let us know your thoughts below.

This is great! I love A Link Between Worlds, love the top-down Zelda games in general – this will be a must-own game for me :)

Have you ever gotten a group of friends over to play Four Swords Adventures before? It’s a blast! I’m wondering how this game will play online though, as I get the feeling it won’t have voice chat.

Actually it’s the only Zelda game I’ve never played! You’re right though, would be much easier working together to solve puzzles if you can actually talk to them … will be interesting!
