As another week begins, it’s time to reveal the latest gaming goodness due to hit the European eShop this Thursday.

Wii U eShop

  • Canvaleon (OXiAB Game Studio, €11.95 / £10.80 until 6th August, then €13.95 / £12.59) – this platforming adventure title features over 30 stages and includes the unique ability to paint your character as a form of camouflage.
  • Blocky Bot (Mobot Studios, €2.69 / £1.89) – a fun budget title with style, this endless 3D platfomer sees you collecting bits and bytes to unlock more playable characters, set in a world of robots, wizards, ninjas and even a playable box of robotic french fries.

Wii U Virtual Console

  • Yoshi Touch & Go (Nintendo, €6.99 / £6.29) – released in 2005, this was one of the earliest DS games, and made great use of stylus controls to showcase the touch screen. The game is styled in the colorful hues of the Yoshi’s Island series, and sees different-colored Yoshis traverse levels of enemies and obstacles. Each Yoshi marches relentlessly through each level as your stylus draws and taps to protect the duo from harm, until you reach the next available Yoshi.

3DS eShop

  • 3D Streets of Rage 2 (Sega, €4.99 / £ 4.49) – the 3D release of a Sega classic beat ’em up.
  • Ninja Battle Heroes (Tom Create, €1.99 / £1.79) – this stylish and somewhat cute action title sees you wield a katana, fling throwing stars and generally wreak havoc through a fast-paced beat-em up.
  • Mercenaries Saga 2 (CIRCLE Entertainment, €4.99 / £3.99) – seemingly inspired by Final Fantasy Tactics, this title takes same isomeric view and very similar animation.

  • I Love My Cats (Bigben Interactive, €24.99 / £19.99)
