It’s time to reveal the latest round of releases ready to storm the European eShop this Thursday. This week brings plenty of new content, including the long-awaited Pokémon Sun and Moon, as well as discounts, demos, a Virtual Console release for the Wii U, new HOME themes and more besides.

  • Exile’s End (XSEED Games, €9.99 / £8.99) – this retro-inspired platformer has elements of exploration set on a dangerous alien world. The game involves puzzle solving and takes influence from sci-fi and anime films of the 1980s, bringing with it a Japanese flair.
  • Ohayou! Beginner’s Japanese (Finger Gun Games, €4.99 / £4.49) – this app provides the building blocks of learning Japanese, using flash cards to learn and master Hiragana and Katakana characters.
  • Octocopter: Super Sub Squid Escape (TACS Games, €2.99 / £2.69) – move your constantly spinning submarine through maze-like stages.

Wii U Virtual Console

  • Beat the Beat: Rhythm Paradise (Nintendo, €19.99 / £17.99) – this 2012 Wii title is the third in the series and requires players to play in time to the beat to pass levels. The levels feature different rules, from stabbing peas with a fork to attacking spirits with a sword.
