We hope you’re ready for the latest round of releases to hit the eShop in Europe, because this week packs in a lot of new games for the Switch and 3DS. There’s brand-new basketball action for the Switch with NBA 2K18, solid platforming with Rayman Legends, not to mention Samus’ latest outing with Metroid: Samus Returns, plus plenty more games, DLC and discounts.

Switch Retail Downloads

  • NBA 2K18 (2K Games, €66.99/ £54.99) – the major sports franchise makes its debut on the Switch, promising features like online and career modes. Available on the eShop from 15th September, at retail from 17th October.
  • NBA 2K18 Legend Edition (2K Games, €99.99 / £84.99) – Available on the eShop from 15th September, at retail from 17th October.
  • NBA 2K18 Legend Gold Edition (2K Games, €149.99 / £119.99) – Available on the eShop from 15th September, at retail from 17th October.
  • Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition (Ubisoft, €39.99 / £29.99) – this is the enhanced version of the Wii U original, and a fine 2D platformer to boot. This version includes some extra options in the Kung Foot minigame while also utilising handheld mode for touch-based ‘Murfy’ sections.

Switch eShop

  • Quest of Dungeons (Upfall Studios, €8.99 / £7.99) – this roguelike dungeon crawler was previously released on the Wii U. This version includes a new environment, more enemies and tile-sets along with an in-game achievement system.
  • Kingdom: New Lands (Raw Fury, €14.99 / £13.49) – in this game – the second in the series – you’ll have to rule over a wide range of beasts and facilities while building up your kingdom with careful strategy.
  • PAN-PAN (CIRCLE Entertainment, €5.00 / £4.99) – this game is an adventure that uses environmental narrative storytelling, with puzzle and exploration elements set against a backdrop of ambient sounds. Your task is to fix your downed spaceship and begin the pilgrimage home.
  • Semispheres (Vivid Helix, €9.99 / £8.99) – this 2D puzzle game comes with a synth-led soundtrack as you control two protagonists on either side of the screen, aiming to guide both safely through the world.
  • Robonauts (QubicGames, €13.49 / £12.14 until 29th September, then €14.99 / £13.49) – an arcade-style shooter that uses gravity mechanics as you journey off into the unknowns of space, across 12 planetary systems, with an array of weapons and local multiplayer options.
  • Beach Buggy Racing (Vector Unit, €9.99 / £9.99) – this budget kart racer comes with 15 tracks across six modes, with various characters, vehicles and power-ups.
  • 36 Fragments of Midnight (Ratalaika Games, €2.99 / £2.99) – in this procedurally generated platformer you’ll be collecting 36 fragments while dodging various dangers.
  • Spinmaster (HAMSTER, €6.99 / £6.29) – this is a humorous and frantic Neo Geo platformer from 1993, where you take control of Johnny and Tom in their quest to rescue Mary and get the five pieces of a mysterious treasure map from an evil organization lead by one Dr. De Playne.
