On the last day of PAX Prime in Seattle Destructoid took some time to sit down with Dan Adelman, Manager of Business Development at Nintendo of America (NOA), and Damon Baker, Licensing Manager at NOA, about Nintendo’s digital games strategy including Nintendo Web Framework, Unity, independent game developers, and unified account systems for the Wii U and 3DS.

Many Nintendo fans have been up in arms trying to get Nintendo to create a unified account system for Nintendo’s online digital store, eShop.  Nintendo is ‘very aware’ of the requests of the fans and seem to be more concentrated on continuously improving the eShop for both the Wii U and 3DS.  It doesn’t seem like a unified account system between Nintendo’s home console and handheld is completely out of the question but it doesn’t look like it is at the top of Nintendo’s to do list either.

Dan Adelman, “We don’t have anything new to announce, unfortunately, other than we’ve definitely heard that feedback many times from both inside and outside the company. It’s definitely something that we’re very much aware of. All development for the infrastructure really happens out of Japan, so we’ve kind of communicated this need in the market, and they’re very much aware of it and working towards really just always improving the eShop.”
