With all the excitement that the Nintendo Switch presentation in Japan created, it didn’t take long for fans to pre-order the new system en masse. With a plethora of different controllers to purchase for the console, there is but one peripheral that has eluded U.S. Nintendo fans. The Switch Pro controller.

Thanks to Reddit, we now know that the reason for the Pro controller’s mysterious absence from the U.S market was because it has only just now passed its testing at the FCC (Federal Communications Commission), which is a requirement for any product from an international company sold in the states.

For those interested, you can check out the FCC documents about the controller here, as they have now been made public. Hopefully, this means we’ll start seeing pre-orders for the controller becoming available to those who want one.

Now that the mystery has been solved, are you considering purchasing a Pro controller? Have you already decided to import one instead? Let us hear your thoughts in the comments!
