We hope you’re ready for the weekend, we’re using our time to catch up on our gaming playlists. Any Nintendo fan knows there’s simply not enough time to play everything, but we do our best, playing a diverse range of games, including the latest mobile game that we’re all talking about this week.

Check out our playlist below and let us know which games you’re playing right now.

Alex

  • Twilight Princess HD (Wii U): After all the Zelda news from E3, I finally started Twilight Princess to scratch that Zelda itch I was having. I’ve currently reassembled the mirror of twilight, and this time around I’ve managed to find all 60 Poe souls. Can’t wait to try the new wolf dungeon with my amiibo!
  • Pokemon Go (mobile): I’ve only had a short amount of time with this game due to the server overloads, but I can definitely see this game encouraging me to go outside more. Here’s hoping Niantic gets their servers in order, and that future content keeps me coming back to this one.

  • Splatoon (Wii U): I’m really hyped for this last Splatfest. I decided to go with team Marie, nothing against Callie. I kind of just prefer the color green over pink. Good luck to all of the Inklings around the world, hopefully I’ll see you there ;)
  • Dr Mario Miracle Cure (3DS): I’ve been playing this a lot to pass time at work. I always say I’m going to stop, but I get really into the game and end up playing on and off for hours. It’s quite addicting.

  • LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Wii U & 3DS): LEGO games are fun, and these latest are no exception.  Please check out my LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens review.  Be warned though, both are quite buggy.
  • Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (Wii U VC): I haven’t played this classic in over a year, but it’s great finally having it available on the Wii U. Hopefully if you’ve never played this one, you’ll consider giving it a purchase.

  • Pokemon GO (mobile): The critique of this game is down currently. Please try again later.
  • 7th Dragon III Code Demo (3DS):  It’s only the very beginning, but this is definitely an RPG for more experienced players.  Interesting so far.
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE (Wii U):  Took a look at the DLC.  Not really worth too much.  The XP et al dungeons have an interesting risk-reward mechanic by locking out the save feature whenever you are visiting them, but they don’t do too much beyond that.

  • Fire Emblem: Fates (3DS): I’m in the middle of my latest battle in chapter 16, and still thoroughly enjoying this tactical game.
  • Mario Kart 7 (3DS): Had some fun with my five-year-old son playing through a few tracks, there’s always time for a race :)
  • Rubik’s Cube (3DS eShop): Just started playing this one for a review, it’s essentially a virtual Rubik’s Cube, with some intuitive controls and different versions to try out. I’ll be back with a full review next week.
