Another week is done and dusted, and that means it’s time to reflect on the games we’ve played this week to get us through the days. There’s still a lot of Super Mario Maker action in the team, among an assortment of other games to keep us entertained. We’d love to know what you’ve been playing this week, so share your latest gaming exploits in the comments section below.

  • Super Mario Maker (Wii U):  I’m still having fun creating new levels. Sometimes I have the urge to get a bit more creative than the game allows though. I can’t wait for more updates. Here is my most recent level:
    • Plant Symphony
      475F-0000-0080-8774
  • Zombie Defense (Wii U): Zombie Defense is a new tower defense game for the WiiU. I’ve been playing this for a review I’m writing. Its pretty fun so far. But then again, I can’t think of a time when killing zombies hasn’t been fun ;D

Trevor

  • TrevorBeatbuddy (Wii U eShop) – I played this one for a review.  While definitely not a perfect game, it left a positive impression with me all the same.
  • Super Mario Maker (Wii U): Hopefully some of our fans checked out the Mario Maker themed Koopa Kast we held on Wednesday.  Here’s a few small (but tough) levels I’ve uploaded this past week …
    • 6 Bowsers, 10 seconds!
      96EC-0000-0073-453D
    • Swim Fast!
      FB26-0000-007D-FA23
    • The little airship that could

Alex

  • Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow: It is a well known fact among my friends that I despise vampires. Whether they sparkle or not, vampires just give me the creeps. I decided to take the fight to Dracula himself with this GBA title. Trying to collect all the demon souls in the game is great fun too. Castlevania is a series I’ve been meaning  to play more of, even if I “accidentally” miss recording a Koopa Kast because of it.
  • Pokemon Shuffle Mobile: Does this game count even if it’s on my phone? I finally caved in and started playing, and I’m hooked. I’m currently stuck at level 70, but only time will tell if I can catch them all!
  • Pokemon Trading Card Game: I’m pretty sure the only reason this Gameboy title was made was to teach kids how to play the trading card game. Back when the cards first came out, I, along with every other kid in the 90’s, was just obsessed with collecting them. Regardless, it’s nice to have this one on my 3DS virtual console lineup, even if the game can be frustrating due to the random nature of card games.

  • Super Mario Maker (Wii U): Having a *lot* of fun with this, but I’m too busy playing with everything to finish my levels! There are some very clever designs out there, and I’m loving all the new items that are continually being delivered to my ever-building arsenal. Here’s my first level:
    • Jem’s grassland
      DEA8-0000-0083-C981
  • Pokémon Shuffle (3DS): Phew, made some progress this week and have finally passed level 200! I’m up to 202 now!
