It’s been a long time in coming, but the Nintendo DS browser is looking to be worth the wait!  Nintendo has offered more details on the software including full Flash and Javascript support.  Here’s a rundown of the new features in the US version, set for release June 4:

  • DS Web Browser offers added functionality to your Nintendo DS
  • Blog, check sports scores, and get the latest news in the palm of your hand
  • Dual screen offers a much larger portable browing experience than a cell phone or a personal digital assistant
  • Customize your experience, disabling images to speed load times and altering the presentation to preserve the original page’s layout or to maximize the screen space and readability on your DS
  • Navigation’s a breeze with the touch screen!
  • Based on the light and lightning-fast Opera browser, the full-featured Nintendo DS Browser includes Javascript and Flash support. You can access the web via your home wireless internet connection or any hot-spot access point.

I’ll admit I wasn’t too impressed with the reviews of the Browser when it came out in Japan/Europe, but it looks like the US version is shaping up to be a nice addition to the DS’s library.
