The retailer Target has posted an August 29th release date for the 3DS version of the upcoming Nintendo blockbuster Super Smash Bros on their website.  This is a possibility since Nintendo did confirm a Summer 2014 release window for the 3DS version but Nintendo has yet to confirm the exact release date for either version of the immensely popular game series, which is due out on both the Wii U and 3DS, so this has to be filed as rumor for now.  Target’s website lists the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros. with a December 31st release date, which is likely just a placeholder date until an exact release date is confirmed.  The release window for the Wii U version, which has also been confirmed by Nintendo, is Winter 2014 but a more likely release date is prior to Black Friday.  This is a more feasible release date because it would allow Nintendo to not only capitalize on one of the most popular holiday shopping day of the year but also rake in a bunch of cash during the holiday season this year.
