I could not wait to get back from my Atlanta Georgia, from attending Wii U experience, to talk about this very interesting rumor. (At least to me) Let me take you back to E3 2011 when EA’s CEO came out on stage very excited about the Wii U. “We have big plans for this system.” (Quote paraphrased) Then a few months later we had a rumor that Nintendo was working with a third-party for their online and digital content. Which a lot of people thought was Origin. Now, let us fast forward to E3 2012…..nothing.  What happened between E3 2011 and E3 2012? Well we may have finally found out.

According to this rumored report. (HERE) EA and Nintendo were in some deep talks to bring Origin, EA’s digital content provider, to the Wii U. According to the report Nintendo thought long and hard about EA’s proposal and decided against it. Not surprisingly this killed any major momentum and support EA had for the Wii U. Which could bring us back to E3 2012 and EA MIA support for the Wii U.
