About Star Soldier: Star Soldier is a family of vertically-scrolling shooter video games that have appeared on numerous video game consoles over the years. Some of the best-known versions in the US include Star Soldier (NES), Super Star Solider (TG16), and Soldier Blade (TG16), all of which have been re-released on the Nintendo Wii™ Virtual Console. The gameplay follows traditional shooters, in which you pilot your craft against overwhelming alien odds. From a top-down perspective, you fly from the bottom of the screen towards the top, shooting any ship or structure that gets in your way. As you progress, you can collect power-ups to increase your weapon or shield strength. Now go get in your Caesar fighter craft and save Earth from the Core Brain!

Product
Overview: Star Soldier R roars in from Japan to test your shooter skills! Go for the high score in 2-Minute or 5-Minute Modes or see if you have the fastest trigger finger in Quick Shot Mode! Then go online and see if your scores are the best in your region. There’s even an all-new Force System: collect up to five orbiting satellites that can be held close to the ship for defensive cover or can be sent out for additional firepower. Use the controls style that suits you best: Nunchuk + Wii Remote, Wii Remote only (held sideways), or Classic Controller.

Brand New Features:

● Tournament Style – Flying in straight from Japan, this tournament-style shooter tests your skills with three different game modes. Go for the highest score possible in either 2-Minute or 5-Minute Modes or see if you’ve got the fastest trigger finger in Quick Shot Mode.
● Online Leaderboards – Go online and see if your scores are the best in the world, your country, or your region. If not, keep practicing until they are!
● All-New Force System – Collect power-ups to increase your Force (orbiting satellites) up to five. They can be held close to the ship to provide defensive cover or can be sent out to provide additional firepower.
● Three Control Schemes – Use the style that suits you best: Nunchuk + Wii Remote, Wii Remote only (held sideways), or Classic Controller.
