Super ubi land large

The Evil Dr. Terrestrial will stop at nothing to keep Ubi imprisoned on Climate Island. Ubi’s Quest: fight past hordes of enemies, collect the pieces to his spaceship, defeat Dr. Terrestrial, and return safely to his home planet.

Super Ubi Land is a console/PC gaming love-letter to the classic 2D platformers of the early and mid-90s like Super Mario Bros 3, DKCountry, and Kirby’s Adventure. Super Ubi Land is currently being developed for Windows PCMac and Linux. Wii U port is being done by Maestro Interactive Games.

Classic 2D platforming

Just like the good-ol-days! Enjoy the classic 2D platformer mechanics that we loved in the late 80s and early 90s. The game is easy to pick up and play but is tough to master.

Hand Drawn Graphics

Every asset is created by hand with the mighty mechanical pencil!

Awesome Combos

Rack up massive points by slaying multiple enemies with Super Ubi Land’s unique combo system!

Four Exciting Worlds

Traverse the four regions of Climate Island — fear the Forest World, dread the Desert Land, Shrink in the Snow Realm, and climb the Maniacal Mountain to face Dr. Terrestrial himself! With an adventure so diverse, you’ll want to go back and explore over and over again.

Make friends along the way and complete side quests to unlock hidden areas, extra characters, and fresh music!

Excellent Soundtrack!

Remember the great 16-bit tunes of childhood? We do! Our very own Calum Bowen spends his days composing crazy-cool music for Super Ubi Land. Taking influence from Yoshi’s Story, Animal Crossing, the Katamari series, Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker and more, SUL’s soundtrack blends the catchy themes of the old with the creativity and production values of the new to form a distinctive sound which perfectly compliments the art and gameplay of this colorful project.

Secret Cheat Codes?

Who was the first guy to figure out that you could fly above the door in dungeon one and get the warp flute? And how did it spread to every 90s kid everywhere? We have no idea! But we’re going to find out through Super Ubi Land.

Explore the world and discover hidden Easter eggs, sneaky cheat codes, and super secret doorways. No… No warp flutes… Sorry…

Boss Battles

Battle against terrifying bosses! Make sure to rack up as many 1UPs as you can or else it’s be back to the beginning of the world if you get a Game Over!
