Dead Rising heading to the Wii

Posted July 16th @ 11:06 am by Kevin Klein

Well it looks like Capcom is at it again, they are porting the 2006 Dead Rising to the Wii.  The game will be an unaltered port with added waggle controls.  As disappointing as it is that this is just a port, I have heard good things about the Xbox 360 version. So this could be a good thing. Check the Famitsu scans here

    Sonic Unleashed Wii/360 Comparison Screens

Posted June 27th @ 6:07 pm by jsharp

In all honesty, this isn’t really a fair comparison because the Wii screens are simply magazine scans and are not direct feed screens like the 360 version.  No doubt the 360 version will look better, but don’t count the Wii’s graphical capabilities by these not-so-great magazine scans from Nintendo Power.

Here’s the order of the screens from top-to-bottom: Wii, 360, Wii, 360

New RPG: Arc Rise Fantasia Scans, Details

Posted June 26th @ 11:53 am by jsharp

Looks like the Wii is finally getting some solid RPG’s announced!  Tales of Symphonia has been the only one we’ve heard much about, besides a new Crystal Chronicles game.  Now Marvelous Entertainment has announced “Arc Rise Fantasia” for the Wii.  No release date was given, but we do have the first details on the plot and development team:

    Developer: imageepoch
    Publisher: Marvelous Entertainment Inc.
    Platform: Wii
    Release date: TBA
    Genre: RPG
    Rating: ESRB: Rating Pending

    Plot:

Arc Rise Fantasia is set in the empire of Meridian. Creatures called “Contaminant Dragons” are causing a lot of trouble as they pass the Meridian in flocks. If you kill one, the resulting explosion poisons the local area. When the empire receives word that a massive horde has its sights on the capital of Diamant, it immediately sends out an army to fight against them, including Bright, a cool and collected novice mercenary, and his friend Alse, the bright and beloved prince and second in line for the throne. Bright is severely injured during the battle, but is saved at the last minute by a girl named Ryphia, a naive and reserved girl who has secrets in her past, possesses the power to control “ley squalls,” naturally-occurring storms of magic that usually take the form of luminous rain. And another character named Adele, a Diamant magic instructor who seems to care about fashion just as much as her light-based offensive spells.
