Video Games Archives - Pure Nintendo
There’s nothing quite like the special feeling on Christmas morning. In a flurry of innocent fervor, anticipation shifts to excitement, and the once picturesque image that characterized the living room is instantly transformed into a mess of detached bows, shredded …
With a week until the presidential election, I thought it was about time to get to my second part of this piece I call; “The Presidential Candidates and their View on Video games.” In the first part of this piece, (See HERE) I covered the views of Presidential hopeful Barack Obama. Now in part two, I will cover John McCain. Before I go on just wanted to remind you that I gave both campaigns plenty of time and opportunity to state for themselves what their stands on video games. I have brought it on myself to find as much quotes and info so I can properly get an idea of their views.
McCain has not said much about on the topic of video games. What he has said strongly opposes what Obama had to say. This was taken from a fellow blogger’s question to John McCain.

Just wanted to point something out from this podcast. In the question section of the podcast, Mat stats that the Nintendo conference later this week will probably be embargoed until next week.
– Nikkei spilled the beans on the potential of a future Nintendo DS
– Rumors have always been out there, but Nikkei is like the Wall Street Journal of Japan, so when they say something, you kind of listen.
– Updated version of Nintendo DS, adding a second touch screen, bigger screens SD card and mp3 support. Suggested faster Wi-Fi and alluded that Nintendo wants to have more connectivity like Safeco Field
– Also saying there’s a camera, Craig says the camera could also be used at the Wii’s i-Toy.
– Another theory from Craig: Save files off the Wii to the DS -> Wii’s storage solution. Bozon also thinks they’ll open up the SD card, like what Vicarious has been doing.
– Backward compatibility could be a problem with bigger screens
