Spore getting the Wii treatment?

Rumor has it that Will Wright of Sims fame is considering bringing his new franchise, Spore, to next generation consoles including the Wii. Originally, Wright had said that Spore would be coming to the PC and handheld platforms. Now it appears we might be getting some very cool functionality from Spore using the Wiimote.

COD 3 at Launch

Call of Duty 3 has been confirmed for launch with the Wii this year. The title is designed specifically for the Wiimote and the developer has gone on the record to say that it has spent a lot of time developing the Wii version of the title.Here’s hoping that it turns out to utilize the controls in a new and engaging way.

that rumor November 6th date that’s been going around, apparently is being voided by an early October release according to chris morris of cnnmoney. i truely hope this rumor is true because i want to play with my wii as soon as possible. :S

Take Two and Rockstar *heart* Wii

Rumors are flying around the web today of the possibility that publisher Take Two, and developer Rockstar might be making games for Nintendo’s Wii. NGC France is where this rumor is coming from. They mention that Take Two’s president Paul Eibeler made mention of Wii development. Games that were mentioned were all of the 2K sports games, and Rockstar’s Table Tennis.

This is very interesting news indeed, especially since the Table Tennis game makes so much sense when used with the Wiimote. I’m hoping this comes true, because more support is always a good thing for Nintendo as it releases its very revolutionary console.

nintendo biggies reveal interesting stuff

in an interview with egm shigeru miyamoto and satoru iwata had a few peices to reveal about wii. miyamato revealed that ther will not be a microphone embeded in the wiimote because of cost. they are hopeing for a headset which will not conect to the wiimote but perhaps wirelessly. moreover, nintendo are looking for ways to update grafics on the virtual console. also, they are looking for ways to utilize the “we connect 24,” into the legend of zelda: twilight princess. finally, they are looking forward to increased third party support from japanese developers, but not western developers.
