Australian studio Prideful Sloth has officially announced that open-world adventure Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles is heading to the Nintendo Switch soon.

Though no exact date is available just yet, the game will hit the eShop for $29.99 alongside a physical retail edition priced at $39.99.

Yonder involves a delightful journey through the vibrant but troubled island of Gemea. Your hero helps townsfolk and befriends adorable animals, all while learning about an ominous force known as Murk that plagues the land. You’ll farm, craft, cook, brew, and fish to provide for Gemea, and find magical sprites that can banish Murk forever.

The Nintendo Switch version will come with an all-new photo mode, which allows you to share beautiful images of the world with your friends.

Gemea is filled with natural delights, like luscious forests, quiet shores, and frozen peaks. There are plenty of animals to encounter, such as the adorable Fabbits and Squombles. The game involves exploration across eight distinct biomes, each with its own day/night and weather cycles, hidden sprites, unique animals to befriend, and quests to accomplish, all at your own pace.

Cheryl Vance, co-founder and director at Prideful Sloth, is excited about bringing Yonder to the Switch:

The Nintendo Switch lends itself to leisurely, comfortable play. It’s a great home for the unique experiences that Yonder provides.

With Yonder coming soon, we’ll be sure to update you with an official release date once it’s known. In the meantime, check out the trailer below and let us know if you’re excited about journeying through the beautiful lands of Yonder.
