Set in the Star Wars Legends expanded universe.

Star Wars fans continue to have a strong and trusted ally in Aspyr. The publishing company recently brought Star Wars Episode 1 Racer, Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, and Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast to the Switch, and they’ve just announced that Star Wars Republic Commando will arrive on April 6th, 2021.

Originally released in 2005 for Xbox and Windows, Star Wars Republic Commando allowed players to lead a team of clone commandos in first-person tactical combat on the frontlines of Geonosis during the legendary Clone Wars. The updated release will not include the original’s multiplayer component, but that wasn’t well-received by critics in 2005, anyway; the single-player campaign is what garnered all the praise.

Chaos has erupted throughout the galaxy. As leader of an elite squad of Republic Commandos, your mission is to infiltrate, dominate, and ultimately, annihilate the enemy. Boss, Fixer, Scorch, and Sev, better known as Delta Squad, are back! Your squad will follow your orders and your lead, working together as a team – instinctively, intelligently, instantly. Relive the legendary campaign.

Throughout the campaign, players will:

  • Battle a variety of highly intelligent and deadly enemies—from brutal Trandoshan mercenaries to the flying insectoid warriors of Geonosis.
  • Take charge of a squad that will follow orders, performing complex commands and strategic maneuvers. You are their leader. They are your weapon.
  • Utilize modernized controls.

Star Wars Republic Commando launches April 6th on Nintendo Switch for $14.99. For more information, visit nintendo.com.
