Its been a long-going debate as to whether or not Nintendo would be having another presentation before E3 2019 (The Electronic Entertainment Expo). On Tuesday May 14th, 2019 Nintendo put that debate to rest, as they announced a Super Mario Maker 2 Direct.

While a Super Mario Maker 2 Direct might not be what all fans were hoping for, at least it’s something. A Super Mario Maker 2 Direct allows Nintendo to reveal a bunch of information on the game, which is good, because that allows for more room at E3 for other stuff. I’m personally thrilled by the news of a Super Mario Maker 2 Direct rather than a regular one as it is way too close, in my opinion, to E3 for a regular direct.

While no information has been confirmed in regards to expectations from the presentation, it has been confirmed that the direct will be roughly fifteen minutes long. The presentation will begin at 3:00 PM PT / 5:00 CT / 6:00 PM ET on Wednesday, May 15th. Be sure to use a time-zone converter, though, to find out the exact time in your region.

I personally am hoping we see confirmation of a Super Mario Maker 2 Stylus pre-order bonus for the United States, similar to that of Japan and Europe. I’d also like to see more themes announced such as the following ones: Super Mario 64, Super Mario Galaxy, Island Delfino, and Super Mario Oddesy. Co-Op Editing and Play-through would be nice as well.
