The Aionios Office of Tourism has been busy.

We’re just a little over a month away from the launch of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 for the Switch, and Nintendo wants to make sure you’re good and hyped (as if JRPG fans aren’t already losing their mind from the wait).

This Wednesday, June 22nd, Nintendo will air a 20 minute Nintendo Direct dedicated specifically to Xenoblade Chronicles. The livestream will start at 10am EDT. They haven’t provided details about which aspects of the game will receive focus, but we can anticipate more on the setting and battle system.

Nintendo has dropped the occasional character profile and soundtrack pieces via social media since announcing the game, so it’s likely we’ll get a roundup of that information, as well.

Fans of the series will recall a slew of videos released ahead of the Xenoblade Chronicles X release to introduce that game’s intricate gameplay elements and wonderful use of the Wii U Gamepad, so it’s possible the direct could serve as a bit of an early tutorial. We know Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will combine gameplay elements from previous XC titles, and it’ll be exciting to learn how those will tie together.

Whatever Nintendo decides to show us, it’ll just make the crawl towards the game’s release on July 29th seem that much slower (perhaps even as slow as their website during the initial Special Edition pre-order opening attempt).

The Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Nintendo Direct will be available via livestream from Nintendo’s website. For more information on Xenoblade Chronicles 3, visit www.nintendo.com.
