Koopa Kast 66: DLC Dilemma [Live 8:30PM EDT]
Hello, PureNintendo Readers. It’s time to get ready for the 66th Koopa Kast. Over the past two weeks, there has been a lot of DLC stories floating around Nintendo. From Xenoblade X, to Smash Bros, to Mario Kart, to the many, many amiibo, it’s clear that Nintendo will continue to follow through with DLC support. Even Masahiro Sakurai, who originally stated he had no plans for Smash Bros DLC, has been speaking out on the subject.
So, we’ve decided that we want to talk about DLC, too. In this week’s Koopa Kast, Justin, Tristan, Alex, and I will be discussing the various ways Nintendo has tried to tackle post-launch support for their titles, and which method has worked out for them the best. Most importantly, will Nintendo fall into the trap that so many other developers have faced, and begin to release DLC that should have been originally meant for the game proper.
If you have any questions for the Koopa Kast, you can leave a comment below. Alternatively, if you have a twitter account, you can tweet @PureNintendo using the hastag #KoopaKast. It’s that easy!
The Koopa Kast will be live tonight at 8:30PM EDT (5:30PM PDT), and we will bring you a link to the live-feed as soon as we open up the room at 8:00PM EDT. Hope to see you there!

Speaking of DLC, What does everyone think of 200cc in Mario Kart 8? To be honest, I’m not a big fan. The tracks weren’t designed around that much speed so it kind of feels broken. You often have to play conservatively by skipping boosts just to stay on course. It is fun, but I prefer 150cc.
