Justin Sharp
Founder / PNM Editor-in-Chief

Pure Nintendo founder and all around Nintendo geek. Nintendo systems have always been home to my most favorite gaming memories but I also enjoy video games on any platform. The first system I purchased was a Nintendo GameCube but I grew up playing the NES, SNES, and all of the various Game Boy models.

My love of video games started with the Nintendo GameCube. My favorite franchises are The Legend of Zelda and the Professor Layton series. I'm currently in the process of conquering every Zelda game in the series but my true, geeky loves are Star Trek and DC Comics. NNID: purely_katie

Even though I was first introduced to video games with the Atari 2600 (I feel old) it was Nintendo that turned me into a lifelong fan. From the magical NES era when Nintendo was the face of gaming, through today with the 3DS, Switch (and everything in between) Nintendo’s always entertained me with their innovative, and just plain fun games! Writing for Pure Nintendo has allowed me to combine a fondness for journalism with my love of gaming. I’ve especially enjoyed building working relationships with smaller and independent developers and studios.

Hello! My name is Kaelyn, and I LOVE Nintendo! I can't remember a time when I didn't play video games. Growing up with 3 older brothers it was hard to avoid them. Nintendo was always something that put me in a good mood, or taken me away when I needed a break from reality. My favorite series is the Legend of Zelda! I've always been into drawing Nintendo characters and seeing other people's video game themed art. I have a dream of one day meeting the great Shigeru Miyamoto, and one day working for Nintendo (Don't we all).

I love all things Nintendo! It's my Dad's fault really, since he bought my sister and I the NES many Christmases ago. It was the beginning of a love affair, but who could blame me? There was no better introduction to video games than Mario and Zelda! I'm a proud owner of a 3DS (Fire Emblem-branded, thank you), a Wii U (which, incidentally, also doubles as my TV remote), and the Switch (day one, naturally). I'm a writer and a web developer, so I love writing reviews and take design elements very seriously. My all-time favorite game is Super Mario World for the SNES, though I'm also partial to any of the Mario Kart entries.

Heath Shusterman-Zimmerman

I began gaming at an early age, starting with an Atari 7800. It wasn’t until around the launch of Super Mario Bros. 3 that I was able to get a NES. I asked for a SNES near the time of release but got a Sega Genesis instead. Aside from the Nintendo handhelds along the way, none of my other consoles were Nintendo until the release of the Wii. It was the Wii that spawned my love for Nintendo.

Jaime Carrillo

Jaime is known in some parts of the internet's various tubes as "Jammy," a mispronunciation of his Spanish name. He is an ardent Nintendo fanboy, loves cooking recipes from video games and is still holding out for Mother 3.

Assistant Review Coordinator

Raised on Intellivision and Star Frontiers, I've been a gamer since I was old enough to say, "There's nothing on TV." There's still nothing on TV so I'm still playing games, and I likely will be until I'm able to retire to Wuhu Island.

Kirstie Summers

Kirstie Summers is a writer based in London, England, who takes every opportunity to blend her hobbies with her career. She has written about books, movies, art, and gaming. She has been a Nintendo fangirl for as long as she can remember and relishes any excuse to incorporate it into her work. Today, she games on Switch, PC and, until Pokémon comes to the Switch, the 3DS.

Rachel Poli

Rachel is a writer and blogger who is an avid gamer. She's been playing video games for as long as she can remember often watching her older sister play before becoming taking up the controller as "Player Two." Lover of all things Nintendo, her favorite titles are Paper Mario, Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Luigi's Mansion, and the Legend of Zelda. She's currently attempting to learn D&D.

Jennifer Sheffield
Writer / Social Media Manager

Hey everyone! I'm a tech professional and freelancer. My favorite Nintendo titles will forever include the Animal Crossing series (I'm also known as easy-breezy grandma), the Paper Mario series, Super Mario World, and anything Yoshi! When I'm not writing about gaming, I'm trying my hand at nonfiction essays and fiction projects.

Harrison Milfeld

Since the first day he was able to pick up an NES controller, Harrison hasn't looked back on the one video game company that has given him so many vivid memories. Described as a "proud American but a prouder geek," Harrison's love for all things pop culture got its start with Nintendo and soon blossomed into an infectious love for reading, writing, and, of course, playing video games for days on end. After graduating from the University of Missouri School of Journalism, Harrison started podcasting and writing freelance articles about the entire gaming industry before joining Pure Nintendo Magazine as a contributing writer. He's also known to have an unhealthy and uncontrollable obsession with the Metroid and The Legend of Zelda. NNID: HybridMETA

Kira C.

My background in gaming started with PC games and the good old Sega Genesis. However, when it came to Nintendo, I was introduced to the GameCube and it became one of my favorite consoles. The DS Lite also holds a special place for me. I was introduced to Pure Nintendo by my good friend Trevor Gould. I look forward to putting my hobby of writing to use and playing new games.

James Colozzi

Long time gamer since the Atari 2600 days! Also an avid anime figurine collector, and musician.

Morgan Truder

I think it’s fair to say I’m quite into games. As a kid I could often be found, controller in hand, exploring vast and unimaginable worlds. I soon realised that my passion for gaming could exceed being a hobby, and that’s what brings me here. Nice to meet you.
