As the week begins it’s time to reveal what’s in store for the European eShop this Thursday, and this week sees some hefty Wii U releases, including a highly-anticipated shooter and the latest round of Disney Infinity.

Wii U Retail Download

  • Devil’s Third (Valhalla Game Studios, €59.99 / £49.99) – this hack and slash action title combines both shooting and melee elements, and comes with a solo campaign and online component. The game is a Wii U exclusive and has caused quite a stir in the lead-up to its release due to its violent nature, somewhat of a rarity on the system.
  • Disney Infinity 3.0: Play without limits (Disney Interactive, €19.99 / £16.49 until 5th September, normally €29.99 / £24.99) – this latest round of toys-to-life action comes with a reduced price tag upon initial release. This round features Star Wars and Frozen, among other franchises, and is available from 28th August.

  • Q.U.B.E: Director’s Cut (Grip Digital, €7.99 / £7.19 until 14th September, normally €9.99 / £8.99) – This first person puzzle title challenges players to manipulate environments to make progress. This Director’s Cut features an expanded story and a Time Trial mode with online leaderboards.
  • Life of Pixel (Super Icon Ltd, €9.99 / £8.99) – this intriguing platformer comes with console-based stages, representing particular generations, and revisits classic games with a backdrop of chiptune music.
  • Stone Shire (Finger Gun Games, €4.99 / £4.20 until 26th September, normally €7.99 / £7.00) – this Minecraft-inspired game presents a simple sandbox experience where you explore and try to survive.
