As part of Nintendo’s latest direct video, we were given a look at two brand new stages for Splatoon. The first, Museum d’ Alfonsino, will feature five revolving obstacles at the center of the stage that you’ll have to use to your advantage if you want to win. As you play, you’ll also notice plenty of artwork from the squid-world on display.
The second stage, Mahi-Mahi Resort will have you jumping from platform to platform to cover areas of the stage while avoiding falling into the water. As the stage ends, the water will recede revealing more ground to cover, making this map much more frantic towards the end.
An update starting today (November 12th), will go live at 5:00pm PT, and it will feature over 40 new pieces of gear to collect. The Museum d’ Alfonsino stage will become available November 13th at 6:00pm PT.
Splatoon fans can look forward to more updates including stages, gear, and game play balance adjustments until at least January of next year.
