Reggie spoke in a brief interview where he talked about E3 and what he thought of its reorganization:

– On the new, downsized E3 that’s being organized: Fils-Aime said he considers the revamped event as important as the massive, defunct E3. He said Nintendo would continue the practice of holding a major press conference, and that he thought the new E3 would have more of a North American focus.

Sounds like Nintendo still plans to have some big announcements in May.  Sounds great to me!
