Pokemon fans, rejoice! The official Pokemon YouTube channel has released a new trailer showcasing six new Pokemon, two of which had previously been shown in the Japanese publication Coro Coro. The new Pokemon are as follows:
- Wimpod: A Bug/Water type with a new ability called wimp out, which lets it run away from a battle after its HP drops below half.
- Bounsweet: A pure Grass type that can have the ability leaf guard or oblivious.
- Comfey: A Fairy type with either the ability flower veil or triage, a new ability that gives healing moves the highest priority in battle, so they go first.
- Mudsdale: A Ground type with the ability own tempo, or the new ability, stamina, which increases the Pokemon’s defense by one when hit.
- Mimikyu: This Ghost/Fairy type was previously leaked in the Japanese magazine Coro Coro. Its ability, disguise, allows the Pokemon to avoid taking damage for one turn, and will change appearance once its disguise is broken.
- Bewear: As previously shown in Coro Coro, Bewear is a Normal/Fighting type. It has a new ability called fluffy, which halves damage from physical moves, but in return it also doubles damage received from fire attacks. It can also have klutz as an ability.
In addition to the new Pokemon, the trailer also revealed that you will be able to host your own online competitions via the Pokemon global link. Super training from Pokemon X and Y also makes a come back as hyper training, and it looks to show your Pokemon’s progress as they train, making it that much easier to visualize what stats you should buff up.
With each new trailer, it seems Pokemon Sun and Moon are shaping up to be great additions to the Pokemon franchise. What do you think about the new Pokemon? Are you excited about being able to host your own online competitions with your friends? Tell us in the comments!
