The latest round of releases for the European eShop have been announced, and it’s a rather long list this week. With Halloween around the corner, there’s a definite theme of scary titles, including a ghost-capturing Virtual Console release and plenty of discounts across the board. Thros in some new puzzle games and a free Pokémon adventure, and there’s really something for everyone.

  • Pirate Pop Plus (13AM Games, €4.49 / £4.09 or free if you own the New 3DS version on the same Nintendo Account) – inspired by the original Pang comes a bubble-popping game with Game Boy-style visuals and chiptine soundtrack, with a gravity element to change up the gameplay.
  • Fire: Ungh’s Quest (Daedalic, €9.99 / £8.99) – a puzzle adventure promising plenty of personality in its environments and puzzles.
  • Super Destronaut 2: Go Duck Yourself (Petite Games, €1.99 / £1.79) – based on Space Invaders comes a game where you’ll be blasting enemies, collecting power ups and aim for the highest score across several different modes.

Wii U Virtual Console

  • Project Zero 2: Wii Edition (Nintendo, €19.99 / £17.99) – this 2012 Wii title is a remake of Fatal Frame II, and sees twins exploring a creepy village full of ghostly creatures. all waiting to be captured on camera.
