Nintendo has coincided news of Dragon Quest VIII’s release date with a trailer that welcomes newcomers to the game.
The trailer introduces many of the characters, such as Yangus, Jessica and Angelo, showing plenty of in-game footage, including battle scenes.
In Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King, you’ll uncover the story of the Cursed King as you save the world from a twisted magician. The game features turn-based battles against more than 250 monsters, all set in a vast world, including enhancements to the original game such as new dungeons, bosses, items, quests, scenes, and a new possible ending.
Dragon Quest VIII will be released on the 3DS on 20 January 2017 in the US and Europe (January 21 in Australia). Check out the trailer below and let us know your thoughts on the game’s style and improvements.
