THQ Nordic has announced that action-RPG  Titan Quest is coming to the Nintendo Switch. The game, which is already available on PC, mobile and other consoles, will hit the Switch on July 31.

Titan Quest hails from Age of Empires co-creator Brian Sullivan and Braveheart writer Randall Wallace. The game is set in ancient Greece, Egypt and Asia. The Titans have escaped their eternal prison, set on a path of destruction on Earth. The Olympian gods need a hero to help turn the tide – this is where you come in.

In Titan Quest, you’ll explore the ancient world in a story-driven campaign. There are arcane mysteries to unlock and mythological beasts to battle on your journey through legendary locations. Your character is customizable, with 28 classes and 1000 items to choose from as you create your ultimate champion of the gods.

The game’s graphics have been tweaked for the Switch version, with fully reworked textures and tailor-made controls. Players can also work with other players in the online multiplayer mode, catering for 2-6 players.

You can order Titan Quest ahead of July’s launch on the official Titan Quest website. In the meantime, check out the trailer below and let us know your thoughts on the game.
