Switch players can peel back Layers of Fear 2 this month
Come aboard. We're expecting you.
What could be scarier than the thought of getting on an ocean liner during a global pandemic? Getting on one captained by Bloober Team. The studio that brought us Layers of Fear and Observer has announced that Layers of Fear 2 is coming to Nintendo Switch on May 20th, 2021.
In this second Layers of Fear tale, the long, dark, creepy hallways of the artist’s home have been replaced by the long, dark, creepy hallways of an ocean liner. Gamers will take control of a Hollywood actor with a troubled past (is there any other kind of actor?) who is shooting a new film at sea under the guide of an eccentric and mysterious director (voiced by Tony Todd).
In Layers of Fear 2, players will:
- Explore the bizarre rooms and corridors of the ocean liner. Piece together your past and expose the reason why you have been cast for this film.
- Experience psychological and psychedelic horror. Is this all part of the film, or are your memories playing tricks on you? Your world may change with the slightest of provocations, and it’s your responsibility to decide what is real.
- Act on a stage on the sea. The deeper you venture into the bowels of the luxurious ocean liner, the more incredible—and terrifying—the scenes become. What awaits you in the final scene?
- Enjoy an ominous, original score composed by Arkadiusz Reikowski, conducted by George Strezov, and performed by the Sofia Session Orchestra. The classical soundtrack highlights the disquieting atmosphere aboard the ship.
Layers of Fear 2 is available now preorder in the Nintendo eShop at the discounted rate of $23.99. For more information, visit layersoffear2.com.
