So many games, so few days of summer vacation.

It’s a holiday weekend in the United States, and what better way to enjoy it than by checking out games that won’t be available until after the long weekend’s over! But if you’re celebrating the end of the school year anywhere around the world, there’s plenty here to keep you busy over the summer.

  • HitGrab Inc. have announced their critically acclaimed 2D platformer Clan O’Conall and the Crown of the Stag is coming to Nintendo Switch. Nominated for best art direction alongside Wytchwood and Far Cry 6 at the Canadian game awards, Clan O’Conall features fiendish bosses, edge of your seat platforming and rapid character swapping within the hand-painted, folklore-infused world of Hibernia.
  • After the unfortunate delay of Cloud Gardens on Nintendo Switch due to a minor backend issue, Coatsink and Noio are pleased to reveal a new release date for their chill title about using the power of nature to reclaim beautiful lo-fi scenes of urban decay. Cloud Gardens will sprout to life on Nintendo Switch on June 16th. In this meditative title that embraces your creativity, create small plant-covered dioramas of brutalism and beauty by planting seeds, repurposing hundreds of discarded objects and creating unique structures for nature to reclaim.
  • Merge Games and Laser Dog have revealed that their hardcore rogue-lite twin-stick shooter, DEATHRUN TV, will make its long awaited debut for Nintendo Switch on June 1st. DEATHRUN TV is a fast hardcore rogue-lite twin-stick shooter set in the world’s biggest and deadliest game show. You’ll experience real-time blistering speed and bullet-dodging action on the television set of a game show where only “likes” really count, as you compete for glory…and your life!
  • EleMetals: Death Metal Death Match is on its way. Gather your friends and plunge into the chaos of demonic multi-gameplay together. Which of you will crush your opponents, and be the best EleMetals will hit your consoles with a great force on June 3rd!
  • Fall Guys will be Free for All on June 21, 2022, a date which also marks the game’s debut on Nintendo Switch. Crossplay and cross-progression will be fully supported across all platforms thanks to Epic Online Services. The launch also introduces Fall Guys’ most jam-packed and blunderful season yet, with stacks of new challenges and rewards waiting for players new and old alike, alongside major updates to the game’s progression systems and a new in-game currency dubbed Show-Bucks.
  • Odencat Inc. has announced that the spinoff to their award-winning breakout hit Bear’s Restaurant, Fishing Paradiso, is now available for preorder on the Nintendo Switch eShop. Downloaded more than 1.5 million times worldwide, this enhanced port of the game launches June 2nd, and includes all previously released content as well as some all-new features.
  • Green Man Gaming Publishing and Evil Twin Artworks have announced their exciting new comedic space combat adventure game, The Galactic Junkers, will be available for Nintendo Switch in late 2022. Being the captain of a spaceship can be hard, especially when there’s a price on your head. Bounty hunters, space pirates, and even the Galactic Union are trying to hunt you down. All that stands between you and oblivion is your wits, your crew, and your trusty ship.
  • Strictly Limited Games has announced the upcoming physical limited release of Jim Power: The Lost Dimension, a re-release of the 90’s cult classic with an experience that is true to the original spirit of the game. Pre-orders kick off on Sunday, May 29th, at 12 AM CET (midnight), only at Strictly Limited Games.
  • CFK has introduced new gameplay features of the Touhou-based 2D action game Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony scheduled for Nintendo Switch release on July 28, 2022. Since initial release, the game has been highly praised for its quality gameplay and music as well as Banpai Akira(晩杯あきら)’s sharp and gothic reinterpretation of the Touhou characters.
  • Krut: The Mythic Wings—a side-scrolling hack-and-slash platformer based on Southeast Asian lore—will fly to Nintendo Switch on Tuesday, July 12, 2022. A great Krut warrior named Vera seeks the ancient land of his ancestors. His heart burns with a searing flame, which can only be extinguished through liberating his people from the evil Zulla’s tyranny.   • WildSphere and Perp Games have announced a June 17th release of Oxide Room 104, a body-horror video game where the protagonist, Matthew, unexpectedly wakes up in the bathtub of room 104 of the Night Soul Motel after going to an appointment for a shady business that has apparently gone wrong. From that moment on, Matthew, will have to use all his skills to find the way out of there and put an end to the worst experience of his life, but a horrible creature and a ruthless scientist will prevent him from doing so.
  • On June 1, 2D RPG Pinku Kult: Hex Mortis will arrive on Nintendo Switch. Razore City is a desolate and grim metropolis with one big problem: demons. Control your own Razore City denizen as you are tasked by the mysterious Shōkan Corp to investigate numerous bizarre goings-on around the city and track down the mastermind behind it all: the strange girl in the fox mask.
  • Natsume Inc. and ININ Games have announced that Pocky & Rocky Reshrined will be released in North America and Europe on June 24. For eager collectors and fans of the series, there will also be a Limited Edition and a Collector’s Edition by ININ games that is available for pre-order through Strictly Limited Games and Gamesrocket. The highly limited Collector’s Edition will feature some exclusive special collectibles, like a Rocky plushie, the original soundtrack, an acrylic diorama, an amulet, a collector’s coin, a poster and more!
  • PQube and MassHive Media have announced that Potion Permit will be released physically on Nintendo Switch. The Collector’s Edition contains a physical copy of the game, an acrylic standee, a detailed art book, a cleaning cloth, a certificate of your service to Moonbury and a special Collector’s Edition box.
  • Hound Picked Games and Wako Factory have announced Samurai Riot Definitive Edition for Nintendo Switch. With constant community and forum requests for a console version, the Switch release will arrive on June 1st with new features and enhancements to make it as a 2D, solo or co-op arcade beat ’em up not to be missed!

  • Super UFO Fighter, the head-to-head party action game from Japanese developer VV-LABO and published by Phoenixx, lifts off on Thursday, July 14, 2022, on Nintendo Switch. Compete in an intergalactic 1v1 showdown where flying saucer pilots contend for the Galactic Shwoop Master Title. Smash open capsules to find items that can raise the enemy’s goal or lower your own.   • Humble Games and Crema have announced that the adventure game Temtem will be officially launching on September 6, 2022. At launch, Temtem players will be able to experience new features, such as Seasons, the final island of Archipelago, and rewarding new weekly quests. Nintendo Switch pre-orders to be available soon.
  • Ratalaika Games has announced that The Bworg’s debut title, TEN – Ten Rooms, Ten Seconds, will be released on 3rd June 2022. Are you looking for an addictive, satisfying and challenging game that you can pick up and play any time?   • Modus Games has announced that the hit indie 2D fighting game, Them’s Fightin’ Herds, will be bringing its cute and cuddly cast of hooved fighters to Nintendo Switch this fall. The news was unveiled alongside a new trailer showcasing a herd of audacious animals delivering devastating combos.
  • TOKOYO: The Tower of Perpetuity, the 2D roguelike action-platformer set in a regenerating tower developed by //commentout and published by PLAYISM, climbs to Nintendo Switch on Tuesday, June 2, 2022. Lead one of five heroes through their trials and tribulations as they seek escape from a shifting tower constructed from the broken remains of a forgotten world.   • NACON and KT Racing have announced an autumn 2022 release of their new rally game, WRC Generations, the official video game of the FIA World Rally Championship.   • Happy Volcano has announced their forthcoming top-down racer You Suck at Parking’s multiplayer mode. You Suck at Parking ™ is the world’s most extreme parking experience and the only racing game where, inventively, the goal is to stop.
