From the beginning of April to the end of September 2009, Nintendo sold 1.17 million DS units and 5.75 million Wii systems. From those same dates this year the DS has seen a drastic fall to 6.69 million and the Wii is down to 4.97 million. The Wii numbers don’t call for any concern in frankly neither does the DS numbers. The DS is a aging system (7-years) and with the announcement of the 3DS, I am sure people are holding off a little on their next hand-held system for the 3DS. With my mighty future telling abilities I do see the Wii sales taking a drastic tumble for the year of 2011. This tumble will be do not for the additions of Move or Kinect but pure market saturation.
