Another night and another NIntendo Direct. I will be putting all the information, from each Nintendo Direct, into this one simple post. The Japanese Nintendo Direct will be 53 min long with 11 min of “bonus” footage. Let us get ready for the night of news.

Japanese news

  • Smash Brothers Talk- Namco Bandai games and Namco Bandai Studio is working as developer on the Smash Bros. games. Wii U and 3DS.
  • Kirby  Memorial collection game – There are three modes. Collection, which includes six games form the series.  Motto Challenge Stage. These are challenges based off the challenge stages in the Wii game. Kirby History – which has movies, art, ect
  • Dragon Quest X
  • DQ: First 20 hours are free. Will also have Kid playing times.
  • New Super Mario Bros. 2 – Coin Rush mode will have paid download stages following release. Developers will start to work on these stages after the release.
  • New Brain Age shown off.

 

  • A bigger 3DS announced!!!!
  • The screen is 4.88 inches. It gives 90% extra view area.
  • The lower screen is now 4.18 inch. It also has 90% extra view area.

 

  • slightly longer battery life, a 4 gigabyte memory card
  • To keep the cost down a charger will not be included.
  • Animal Crossing 3DS this year in Japan

North American News

  • The new 3DS is called 3DS XL in NA. Being released $199. Coming to stores August 19th
  • New Kingdom Hearts demo live now.
  • Professor Layton: The Miracle Mask coming to North America in November!
  • One downloadable puzzle a day, for a year, for free!
  • Nintendo Kirby dream collection coming to Wii.
  • Once again, Reggie confirms Nintendo will be offering DLC for Mario Brothers 2. New coin rush levels.
  • Super Mario Land getting price cut starting tomorrow for a week
  • Legend of Zelda, Kirby’s Pinball Land, WarioLand: Super Mario Land 3 coming to VC in July.
  • Pokemon dream radar coming to eshop this fall. Catch Pokemon through AR. These Pokemon will be transfered to Pokemon Black/white 2.
  • July 2nd photoshowcase.nintendo.com launches in North America for 3D photos, vote and share via social media.
